The very expensive and overrated Bluewater Plumbers mafioso could not be bothered to do anything other than a video inspection of the leaking overflow pipe on the bathtub in my flat in Sea Point. My managing agent advised me that Dirk from DJV Plumbing comes highly recommended. I gave him a call and we arranged a time to meet at my property. When I arrived at the agreed upon time, Dirk had arrived early, my tenant had let him in, he had removed the broken overflow pipe and was on his way to his supplier to purchase a replacement. I had never heard of a plumber arriving early to a job site before that day! Long story long, a day or two later I get a call from the resident who lives below my flat. He sends a video of Niagara Falls coming from somewhere in my flat! I immediately sent the video to Dirk, who very calmly advised me that he will be there first thing in the morning. Another first because most plumbers won't even take a call after hours without a fee. Dirk arrived in the morning with an assistant, Salim. They broke out only one tile to gain access to the trap under the bath without breaking or chipping any of the tiles next to it. They replaced the outlet pipe on the bath. They cleaned up all the bits of rubble, tile and other debris and took all of that with them. That kind of thing is usually the client's problem. No, Salim who seems to have the strength of four men, simply slung the bag over his shoulder and carried it out of there. Excellent customer service from Dirk and his team. He combined the first and second invoices together so that I only had to pay him once. His price was very reasonable. There is more work to be done in that unit at a later stage and also in the apartment where my wife and I live up the road and I will be phoning him soon.

Well it's a rare find when someone does what the quote was..yes a few minor adjustments but Dirk and his crew explained exactly what needed to be done and his price was still consistent to his quote.
